Elvyn Glade Scottie and Rayah Gina

I have accidentally acquired a new challenge in my rabbitry when I fell in love with Elvyn Glade Scottie. So this challenge is to improve orange in New Zealand. To be honest, I fell in love with this colour many many moons ago when a judge from Australia came over to judge our national show in 2018, Allan Harvey. I discovered that he bred stunning orange rexes over there and I wanted beautiful oranges then and there. Now, I finally have an orange, I just have to make his line stunning.

Elvyn Glade Scottie

I couldn't help myself when I saw this stunning orange up for sale by Elvyn Glade Rabbitry in Paeroa, New Zealand. I still to this day do not know what I was thinking adding another colour to my already full rabbitry, but orange needs some work in New Zealand, so I will give it a go. Plus, on the flip side, I kind of managed to add Natalie's Nest Rabbitry, in Invercargill, New Zealand, lines into my rabbitry by doing so, as both of Scottie's parents were bred by her and I've always been fond of her rexes.

Rayah Gina

Soon to be wife of Elvyn Glade Scottie, Rayah Gina will help to establish my orange line despite being a tort. She's only a weanling at the moment, and she's not the ideal colour to pair with an orange, but she will strengthen the genotype that creates orange. Only the future will tell how successful I am to create my own orange line without completely ruining it. Wish her (and me) luck please!
